Cassandra ventura ( Cassie ) née en 1986 à New London dans le Connecticut est allé à l'école préparatoire de Williams sur le campus d'université du Connecticut à nouvelle Londres, recevant un diplôme en 2004. Elle a des origine afro-americain et hawaienne par sa mere et descente des philippine du coté de son pere. Cassie devrait publier son premier album en 2006 chez Big Records. Mais ce n'est pas une parfaite inconnue pour autant.

En effet, la jeune femme a d'abord marqué les esprits en tant que mannequin et l'on a pu l'apercevoir sur des campagnes d'Adidas, Delia ou Target. Son ami et protecteur, le chanteur Ryan Leslie l'invite en 2005 sur le morceau « Kiss Me », ce qui lance véritablement sa carrière.

L'été de la même année, elle enregistre son premier single « Me & U », produit par Ryan, et une agréable tournée en Allemagne l'encourage à continuer. C'est également lui qui supervisera (aux côtés de Diddy), l'enregistrement de son LP. Pop, soul, hip-hop, il mêlera toutes sortes d'influences.

En attendant (avec impatience) cette sortie, on pourra l'apercevoir dans le clip d'"Here I Go Again", de Mario, ou sur la collection de sportswear lancée par Missy Elliot.

Earl Simmons ( DMX ) née le vendredi 18 décembre 1970 à Baltimore ( Maryland ),Earl n'a pas connu l'enfance la plus facile avec un père qui a abandonné la famille, étant tout petit, Earl est envoyé chez sa tante à Yonkers-New York et c'est là qu'il grandit. De plus, des séjours en prison, des abus d'alcool et de drogues de même que des dépressions s'ajoutent à un portrait déjà sombre.pourtant malgré tou cela il est connu dans son district comme étant un incroyable DJ. En 1991, il gagna le prix "Unsigned Hype Award" du magazine de rap "The Source". C'est finalement la musique qui le sauve. DMX amorce sa carrière à Yonkers, dans l'état de New York, où il est MC avec ses amis Lox et DJ Clue. C'est en 1998 qu'il prend le monde de la musique par surprise avec le simple « Get at Me Dog » qui devient un méga succès. Pourtant, on le voyait venir depuis longtemps puisque le magazine The Source lui avait réservé sa chronique des artistes à surveiller en... 1991 !

Pendant sa montée vers la gloire, il collabore avec de nombreux rappeurs dont LL Cool J, Mase et Mic Geronimo. En 1997, il signe finalement un contrat avec Def Jam et il ne tarde pas à faire parler de lui. Des apparitions avec quelques artistes de chez Bad Boy comme The Lox et Mase l'y aideront. Son premier album, « It's Dark and Hell Is Hot » entre au numéro un du Billboard en mai 1998 et s'écoule à plus de quatre millions d'exemplaires grâce au tube "Ruff Ryders Anthem". Ne perdant pas de temps (surtout que Def Jam avait un grand besoin de liquidités), il lance « Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood » six mois plus tard et le résultat est le même avec un départ canon. L'album étonne de par son audace qui se traduit par une collaboration entre le rappeur et Marilyn Manson. Toutefois, les deux artistes ne se rencontrent pas puisque tout est fait dans des studios différents.

En décembre 1999, DMX propose son troisième opus, « ...And Then There Was X » qui remporte le même succès. C'est son disque le plus commercial à ce jour. Il n'en sera pas tout à faire de même pour « The Great Depression » qui sort en 2001, qui connut une moindre audience. En 2003, il proposera un nouvel album intitulé « Grand Champ » qui pourrait bien être son dernier puisqu'il a l'intention de prendre un long repos pour se consacrer à sa famille. DMX est aussi fâché contre Def Jam, et estime ne pas avoir reçu les recettes qu'il méritait.

Mais DMX c'est plus que du rap. Il se consacre également au cinéma. Il se fait remarquer dans « Belly » de Hype Williams. On le voit ensuite dans « Romeo Must Die » avec Jet Li et Aaliyah en 2000 alors que « Exit Wounds », dans lequel il partage la vedette avec Steven Seagal, engrange 35 millions de dollars dès son premier week-end en salle en 2001. En 2003, il est de retour dans « Cradle 2 the Grave » ("En Sursis") aux côtés de Jet Li de nouveau. En 2004, il obtient finalement sa reconnaissance en tant qu'acteur en tenant le rôle principal dans "Never Die Alone", réalisé par Ernest Dickerson où joue également David Arquette.

Ces derniers temps, il a beaucoup fait parler de lui pour ses frasques (vol de voiture, etc.) et l'occupation des pages faits divers de la presse... A 35 ans, Il a également prévu de faire son retour dans le rap game avec la sortie de son sixième album sur Def Jam, "Here we go again" dont on peut déjà écouter le premier single "Give em' what they want".
